The role of community broadcasting in Australia, according to Community Broadcasting Association of Australia (CBAA), is to provide a diverse range of services meeting community needs in ways unmet by other sectors. Community broadcasting is sustained by the principles of access and participation, volunteerism, diversity, independence and locality… |
The mission of TYGA-FM is to provide a community-based, non-commercial radio service for the people living in the areas covered by the station’s signal; to entertain and enrich the lives of our listeners by presenting the significant and diverse in the fields of music, the arts, and ideas in an appealing, professional way to encourage new insights about life, people, and relationships in a changing world. |
At present we have a dedicated volunteer base of 50+ announcers covering most genres of music. If you would like to be a volunteer at TYGA FM, contact the Station Operations Manager, Roz Chapman, on (03) 6261-2888 or call into 56 High Street, New Norfolk. |
